A Fascinating Journey Into the Past

We are so very grateful that Jim has shared the amazing journey of his lovely home with us.  In his own words:

"Here are some photos showing what I have been doing with your incredible picture hangers.

The house was built for Judge Charles W. Hodgdon and wife Mary in l906.  It is a four square from the outside, but a 15 room High Victorian on the inside… not the more simple four square interior.

My grandparents bought it in 1941 from the judge, fully furnished, for $6,200.  He said he was going to choose who bought the house as he was leaving everything in it, and wanted to know it would be taken care of.  I think he would be quite please to see it in top shape 111 years after being built.
"

Our special thanks to Jim for carrying on the legacy of this wonderful home.  He did us proud by choosing all his picture hangers from our Breakfast at Tiffany’s collection.
