In an effort to better understand the various Victorian decorating techniques, we have asked our customers to send in examples of how they have decorated their homes with our products. We hope you enjoy viewing these pictures and hopefully you will get some great ideas. We welcome all of our customers to contribute their photos.
Our compliments to Tamra who came up with some very lovely creative ideas for hanging her pictures and our thanks to the Tootles for sharing their amazing home with us.
Here is some of the history of their home from Tamra:
"Our Greek Revival style home is known in Newberry, SC as the Summer House. Original construction started in 1895 and finished in 1905. Cam Davis was the builder. He built much of the cabinetry in the Biltmore House of Asheville. During winter, construction crews left NC and came to Newberry to work on this home and ultimately others. Davis built 9 homes here including one for himself. The ionic columns and columnettes flank over 2400 square feet of expansive porches which surround the house. Beautiful stained glass art windows are sprinkled throughout the house."
